Thanks to YELP, I've found my "I'm hungry so I will stop here on my way home" teriyaki spot. Buxx is about a 15 minute drive from SeaTac airport, and easy to find. The portions are great and can be split between two people. But, I decided not to share. The food was GREAT! They have quite a huge clientele, so if you come around lunchtime, be prepared to wait. The wait isn't long and it's absolutely worth it. Great customer service as well.

Wow better than expected, dining in, the presentation is amazing. The star of this place is definitely the Chicken. The beef while tasty was beef crumbs but the chicken with a large portion. Our dishes came with a vivisected egg roll and 3 gyoza dumplings white rice and a tasty but unappealing salad that was actually yum.

I was headed to White Center and wanted to try something new. Clearly this place is well reviewed, so I decided to check them out. I've said many times, I'm not a Teriyaki fan, but this place had a few Chinese combo's so I was o board. This place was a neighborhood I've never seen before. Small 5 biz strip mall. The places had a constant flow of people picking up and taking out. Prices were considerably higher than photos posted from a couple years ago. The portions also appeared to be smaller, but nothing criminal. I had the Generals Chicken and Mongo Beef. The beef was chewy, it could have stood to be better tenderized. It also had what I would consider a sweeter sauce on it which is to be expected from a teriyaki spot, it was also really thick like a syrup. The chicken had a nice flavor and bit, unfortunately, the salad was so wet that the entire plate was wet making the chicken that was supposed to be crispy soggy. Not a destination place, but if this was my neighborhood, I might possible return. I'd be more comfortable with 3.5 stars, but the service was good.

I think this is my new favorite teriyaki place! I ordered the kalbi and katsu combo. A very large serving for me, at least 2 meals. The katsu meat was thin but juicy, and the batter was nice and crispy. The kalbi was tender, sweet, and so dang delicious. I also got to try the teriyaki beef and chicken, which were also really good. Not dry at all. The gyoza and egg roll were very crispy. And they have a tasty salad dressing, not runny/thin like some other places. Small dining room and small parking lot. If you don't want to wait, call your order in ahead of time. Not particularly romantic or modern, but great food.

"Their food is abnormally good. Unfortunately, they seem to be aware of that." I've had repeated recommendations for Buxx Teriyaki specifically for their fried rice. The recommendations weren't wrong, Buxx's (combo) Fried Rice was by far the best I've had in Seattle and I'd compare their fried rice to treasured food memories from NYC Chinatown. What makes it so good? Start with a perfect cook - not just the rice but also the ingredients. Combo fried rice ingredients are often unevenly cooked, however at Buxx the chicken, steak & shrimp were all perfectly done, the steak and chicken were professionally cut into ~2x5cm pieces with a nice sear. The ingredient quality was high, the steak was a legit cut, as was the chicken, the shrimp were medium large (in their shell/w tail). The serving size was generous, I grudgingly shared a portion with my wife for lunch. The issues as they are: Buxx's is very much a takeaway spot (they prefer call ahead); the dining area is austere; the parking lot is small; and as noted in the title and many other reviews their pricing is about 20-25% higher than other local teriyaki places. Spoil yourself. Buxx's is worth it.

The fried rice they have is absolutely bursting with flavor. Probably not the lowest fat or grease free thing in the world, of course, but really good. Big portions, too.
